Nutrition Value of Citrus fruit


Citrus fruit are one of the many major fruit families that have been known and cultivated for thousands of years throughout the world. With the terms citrus we refer to oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, lemons, limes e.t.c. which are mostly winter fruits with some varieties found all year round. Citrus fruit have many applications.

They can be consumed as raw fruit, juice or even used in aromatherapy with the production of essential oils. They are also very empowering and have a strong anti-oxidotik action, especially oranges and tangerines .They are rich in A, B, C, B1, B2, B3, B6, C and E vitamins.


Juice consumption should be taken right after it has been squeezed out of the fruit and it is even more preferable to be consumed as raw fruit so that to avoid destruction of the vital vitamins during the squeeze procedure.
